Average of all dimensions

Hi

I need a way to calculate, cache and display an weighted overall average for all dimensions. Say I have three dimensions one counts by 30% another 40% and another 30%. I need to cache this overall average in a variable (you have this functionality) and display it both as a number and a star. Any help would be appreciated as I am in a hurry and don't have time to look through your beautiful code and hack it up lol. So if you have an elegant solution please share. It is for an art project.
