Example: https://github.com/jordan-wright/email/tree/v3.0

This is a requirement to be able to export it as a proper Golang package release. Also, remember that for major versions X > 1, the go.mod package must be suffixed with .../vX. See https://github.com/golang/go/wiki/Modules#releasing-modules-v2-or-higher.
