WLAN Issues?

Hi,

Flashing the EP32CAM works perfectly.

I have this device diymore ESP32 CAM Entwicklungsplatine, WLAN/Bluetooth, ESP32 DC 5V Dual-Core-Entwicklungsplatine mit 2640 Kamera-TF-Karten-Modul

Log in Webbrowser also shows everything got flashed successfully.

When it comes to WLAN after the manual boot I see a consistent white LED and can see with Log File in Webbrowser

@caco3 I have the same issue as @Phoenix17785 and I have a very strong signal and I am sitting right next to the access point. Sorry to sound thick, but I cannot get to any Overview page, how would I find any overview page where is that? I the ESP32 to work as an access point at 192.168.4.1, and when I go to the assigned IP for the ESP32 that IP address is not found (192.168.10.75) my browser is unable to connect to either ip address, so where is this overview page? Also, the power LED stays lit of course, but the other red LED does slowly blink on and off and every now and then the bright white LED for the camera lights up for about 5 seconds - then goes off again - but that is ONLY when the device is connected to the PC by USB and I am watching the logs after connecting via the "copnnect" button on that URL -

Can anyone provide any help or suggestions? Thank you for any help anyone can provide...

I see 2 potential issues:

I never tested an SSID with a dot in it, maybe that causes issues? Can you test with another SSID?
The log clearly sais that it does not find the AP (Accesspoint)
Also it could be that the password for your wifi is wrong or too long or has unsupported characters in it (like a double quote ").

I don't think this is the cause for the issue, but a host name should not have whitespaces in it.

Those are all good guesses and I was going down that same road too, I have resolved the issue however, I did alot of digging, it worked on my regular internal home network but did not on my IOT vlan. It turns out I had 802.11r turned on one but not for the IOT. Turned that on and all is well. Although that should not be required, and may cause issues with other IOT devices - it has caused issues with none of them yet.... Funny the ESP32-CAM evidently requires that - next step is to set up the MQTT to get it into Home Assistant. I have other questions pbut will post them under a different discussion with the correct title/s!
