The validator for this is not yet implemented (it is somewhat contrived and complex). This issues tracks the field selector.

This task is all about verifying that the types of fields and the shapes of responses are equivalent. This ensures that you have a unambiguous query. Some of this is probably already baked into the type checker, but we need additional checks.
