The equity levels in http://venturehacks.com/articles/option-pool-shuffle#market list "Manager or Junior Engineer" as the same level. This seems odd, and vague as to what type of manager is being specified.
An engineering manager could have significant equity, for example, but a project manager less.
How can we fix this?
