I spent some time troubleshooting my JDownloader2 links showing up as random strings instead of the expected file names and then failing to download as expected. When looking through the settings I realized that JD thought my account for a third party download service was expired. It did expire but I had renewed it a couple days before noticing the issue. However, JD wasn't aware of the renewal so I think it held my account in a "trouble" state until I refreshed it.
It got me wondering is there a way to have JDownloader alert you whether by banner or other visual indication that your account(s) need your attention? Is something along these lines possible short of going into settings => accounts and finding out there?
