It would be nice if instead of just one image, you would point swaylock to the directory with different images, which would be changed by timeout.
Perhaps, it would be a nice idea to store the last used so that it won't start iterating from the first one again, but rather from the last used and over.

In case anyone needs this feature in particular, I maintain a fork (of the original swaylock) called swaylock-plugin, which can be made to rotate between wallpaper images; details are given in its README. It is fairly complicated pre-alpha quality code, and may crash and/or hang with the wrong plugin command or if you are unlucky. I don't expect it to be stable enough to try upstreaming the changes any time soon.
