Wonderful Tools screen saver

Wonderful Tools is a macOS screen saver based on the opening animation (Wonderful Tools) shown during Apple's keynote event on September 10, 2019.

Wonderful Tools is made by Jimmy Ti with inspirations from the following macOS screen saver projects:

📦 Installation

  1. Click here to download the latest release
  2. Open Wonderful Tools.saver (double click)
  3. "Wonderful Tools.saver" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer will appear, press OK
  4. Open Preferences
  5. Select Security & Privacy
  6. Select General
  7. On the bottom side, select Open Anyway

🗑 Uninstallation

  • Right-click on Wonderful Tools in System Preferences and select Delete Wonderful Tools, or
  • Delete Wonderful Tools.saver either in /Library/Screen Savers or /Users/USERNAME/Library/Screen Savers.

🔧 Compatibility

Requires OS X Mavericks (10.9) or above.

🐛 Troubleshooting

  • Error message in Screen Saver system preferences pane that says You cannot use the Wonderful Tools screen saver with this version of macOS.:
    • Select Wonderful Tools, close System Preferences with Wonderful Tools still selected,
    • Relaunch System Preferences and Wonderful Tools should now work.
    • This is a known bug with Swift screen savers in macOS/OS X reported (a long time ago...) to Apple as rdar://25569037.
