It seems rakshasa recently started working on rtorrent again. He released a new version earlier today: https://github.com/rakshasa/rtorrent/releases/tag/v0.10.0
It might be a good idea to update your code from his repo, and create a new (Docker) tag for experimentation: rakshasa/rtorrent@7976576...v0.10.0
(Not sure if you already merged some of those changes, as they span years - since 2021. But the most interesting are the recent ones.)
