It looks like it's missing the config file so it's asking you to enter some required config values into the console, which isn't possible when running a headless container.

Did you mount a volume with a config file into that elastalert container's /opt/config directory? The readme of this project specifically mentions this:

thanks. my problem is solved
the error was in the es_url_prefix prefix (my bug)
... and I also needed to manually create indexes outside of docker
