Plugin at scale documentation

Describe your use-case which is not covered by existing documentation.

There's very little documentation on using this plugin at a large scale on a single Jenkins controller. Does the plugin use the master's resources (CPU/memory) to do the operations? Are there scaling issues with using the plugin en masse?

Reference any relevant documentation, other materials or issues/pull requests that can be used for inspiration.
