Tmux next-3.4 not supported

Hi there,

I am currently unable to load this plugin because I am getting an error regarding the minimum version being 1.7. When I run tmux -V I have the following:

❯ tmux -V
tmux next-3.4

Is it possible to get the version checker logic updated to support this type of versioning?

Wanted to update - I've fixed my issue by building from the tmux 3.5 branch, but would still be nice if this could support next-* for those who build from the main branch.
