Thanks @dtantsur ! Right on time, as I was refreshing my (deeply broken) blog!

An other alternative I'm following closely is @facelessuser's pymdown-extensions, which has an experimental generic directive feature in the work that could be used to implement video embeds.

In the mean time, your fork is welcomed!
