Feature request - send peloton v1 data while not in ride mode on peloton

Hi there! 1st off, I just want to say that DFC has been great and I've been using it daily for probably over 2 years now. That said, I would love if I could use the DFC while the bike tablet is NOT in ride mode. This would let me use that android device for other purposes like Netflix (if it is fast enough) while riding.

I recall seeing you discuss this on a website about a year ago, saying that it would be relatively trivial to implement. Any progress?

Is anything happening with this? I’ve just used openpelo to allow me to easily run other training apps directly on the peloton, so I’m so close to a great solution that doesn’t need a peloton subscription.

the smartspin pushes data over Bluetooth even if the peloton isn’t in ride mode, so seems it should be doable - will take a look at the code myself if nothing else is going to happen!
