I tried a couple of cookie gems and I also had this problem. What I finally figured out is that I had a chrome extension installed called "I don't care about cookies" which was simply hiding/deleting everything that looked like a cookie banner. Maybe that's the case for some of you as well. |
I doubt it... That's an EXTREMELY specific thing.

If useful, we've recently narrowed it down to that it works on the homepage but not on any sub pages. No idea why! We are likely going to move away to our own thing soon. |
What was the other solution you ended up going with? I'm specifically looking for something that'll work for the adsense consent so I can get rid of the super ugly google consent form |

Don't really understand how this issue hasn't been fixed. Click "OK"... absolutely nothing happens. YES I am requiring cookies_eu in the application.js... It just isn't doing anything.
No errors in the console. No errors in the logs.
