EPC page tracing and krobe

I'm trying to use sgx-perf to track EPC page tracing, but it gives the following error:

cannot open tracing file: /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/kprobe_events: Device or resource busy
cannot open tracing file: /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/kprobe_events: Device or resource busy
/!\ Could not set kprobe filter!

I'm not sure what's causing this behavior, as I don't have any other instances or programs using kprobes.
I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 and SGX SDK ver. 2.6.
