Are you aware of https://github.com/tnozicka/openshift-acme.
If so, is there a reason to not use that repo?
If not, could you possibly join efforts?

I was not aware of it. When I started it did not exist. Honestly, I don't know how joining efforts might work: the implementation is utterly different. I guess we could unify the way to mark a route as needing a certificate.
