I've had some problems using the Cursor component on nested divs, but I fixed it by changing the updatePosition function like this

    const updatePosition = (e: MouseEvent) => {
      cursorX.set(e.layerX)
      cursorY.set(e.layerY)
     ...

now it works perfect for me
