I think this is Windows not handling Unicode characters very well. I tried on my machine on Linux and it works fine. Also tried Konsole and Windows Terminal on Windows and they both don't work at all. It might be a bug in the TUI backend, but I'm not sure about that.

I tried with MinTTY (which is called "Git Bash" when you look for it in the start menu, and is installed together with Git), and it works perfectly. I've always used MinTTY on Windows as it just seems way less buggy than the Windows Terminal.

From what I remember, some terminals on Windows use a shared system, provided by Windows, which causes these problems (it sometimes also breaks mouse input). Others like MinTTY don't use that shared system and work fine. I might be completely wrong though.

(PS Love the test song. Otonoke is such a vibe 🛸 )
