Support for templates (or states) as labels for Companion App actions

My user story is that I have a stereo receiver connected to Home Assistant and I want to configure a “source selector” in my Companion App so that I can quickly change the source input on my stereo. I was able to configure and action that toggles through each of the source options, but I’d like that actions button to show the name (and maybe icon?) of the currently selected input source. I attempted a template like ‘{{ state_attr(“mystereo”, “source”) }}’ but it seems the label doesn’t support templates currently. This would be a super useful feature to have as I can imagine being able to show lots of useful states from the watch Companion app that combine it with actions.
