Hey everyone! I've got an idea to make Home Assistant even better.
So recently I built some nice dashboards and automations with Claude Ai based on PDFs for training that I created via copy and paste out of the HA Frontend and the HA Knowledge Base. Then I noticed a missing feature that could be helpful for this.
You know how we can see all our devices and entities in the UI, but there's no easy way to export that info? Right now, if we want to use Ai, we have to manually copy stuff from different pages, which is pretty tedious and easy to mess up.
What if we had an "Export" button in Devices & Services that could spit out a nice structured list of everything - devices, entities, properties, the whole deal? It could export to Markdown, YAML, CSV, whatever works best for you.
This would be super helpful for:
I'm thinking it could include all devices, entities, states, integration details, and how everything's connected. Would make life so much easier, especially when you're trying to explain your setup to others or work with tools like ChatGPT.
I checked and couldn't find any existing feature requests like this. What do you all think? Would this help with your HA projects?
Let me know if you've got any thoughts or suggestions to make this even better!
