Ten innocent bystanders received stolen money on Gittip. We should probably recover it from their balances and future gifts in a way that doesn't incur fees for anyone. I need to figure out how to account for that in the db.

Affected people per writeup: @kennethreitz, @steveklabnik, @zzzeek, @davisagli, @readthedocs (@ericholscher), @plaes, @tshirtman, @zeke, and @kyleconroy.

Any objections?

nooooes, they takin' my cookies!

On a more serious note, i had no idea i was one of the "lucky ones", i have no objection, i trust you to manage this service the best you can anyway, and we are not talking about big money here (at least for me, i got $1). Thanks for acting with such transparency on this issue. 👍

I trust your judgment on the matter.

Do whatever you need to, man.

It's probably easiest to just take it out of whatever the next payment is?

I'm in the same boat as everyone else, just do what you need to do.

@zwn Blocking on a mechanism for doing this, such as #1511 or #1511 (comment).

Gittip is eating this. We'll take that into account on #265.
