I just got this feedback from someone trying to give on Gittip.

"I tried giving on Gittip, but the only options are $0.25 or $10 a week."

It's not 100% clear that it's a slider, rather than a $10 button.

Ideas?

I can confirm that I had to inspect the elements to figure out which button was indeed the slider. In retrospect it should have obviously been the $10 one but I am tired. :(

The way it looks now is that they're buttons to click on. My suggestion would to be to add little arrows in the $0, $0.25 and $10 boxes to indicate it can slide. Make them centered within the box and the $0 one would only have an arrow on the right and the $10 one would have arrows on both sides. Again, to indicate it can move.

Thanks. This is actually a dupe of #1066, which we're planning to address with #1070.

I've added +3 over on #1066.

Maybe this is an exceptional case, but still kind of amusing:

I signed up a year ago and haven't touched my tip amounts. They were all $.25. Today I wanted to increase one of them (and add more) and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how. It seemed like $.25 and $10 were the only two options, so I came here to look at the code and issues to see why.

Maybe I just suck at using UIs...

@mwhite You don't suck at using UIs, this is a significant problem. I've added a +1 for you over on #1066.
