#369 (comment), flamegraph command shown there, exploration surfaced a flamegraph that looks like the usual please pre-allocate me pattern (akin to #269 though less severe) to me:

Uploading image.png…

Probably worth experimenting to see if we could make this largely drop out of the flamegraph.
