[staging]: activating 'Material Theme' extension fails #2040

Describe the bug

On Gitpod staging saw this prompt on the workspace startup

Steps to reproduce

Open a new workspace on gitpod-staging. I have opened 2 workspaces so far both of them showed the above prompt.

Which repo did you open? How did you get the extension? I see the same issues in the production If I download it from the open vsx. There is no explicitly activaiton error, but in the devtools logs one can see that files cannot be found. It looks more like something wrong with the extension.

Moved to open vsx repo: EclipseFdn/publish-extensions#196 not gitpod or theia issue

Sorry for the late reply. I think all the repositories which I open via staging. I'm not sure How the extension was installed but it is installed under the user tab in the extensions pane.
