Its not a problem in the simulators. Just tested a little more, and it happens when you leave the app open for multiple days, so I don't think that onAppear that reloads the data is getting called. I think an ideal solution would be to store the contributionData on the device, have the main app and widgets get and update the same data.

EDIT: On testing this time, my widget said 11 days and my homescreen said 9
