From Tyler's notes from Barry "ECDSA for p256".

p256 is a different curve that can also be used for ECDSA and has hardware support in the wild.

This could be used for smart accounts which verify using this version of ECDSA.

Update: I think this may be covered/duplicated by webauthn.
