The GeoTools team is issuing a number of concurrent releases next Tuesday:

GeoNetwork 4.4 uses $geotools.version 30.0 -- update 30.4
GeoNetwork 4.2 uses $geotools.version 28.2 -- update 29.6 is available now (but unannounced until next week) should be a smooth upgrade
GeoNetwork 3.7 uses $geotools.version 24.7 -- no longer supported and on Java 8

As alluded to above the above concurrent release was to resolve CVE-2024-36404

With this disclosure now public to is affected core-geonwork vulnerability scans, which may be addressed using #8485
