  • PTHR ID & PTN node:
    MITOCHONDRIAL RIBOSOME-ASSOCIATED GTPASE 1
    PTHR45782
    PANTHER:PTN000119720

  • Type of Issue: Erroneous source or erroneous propagation, or other issue

MTG1 is not a regulator of translation, but is involved in the assembly of the large mitochondrial subunit.
I've just annotated the human protein Q9BT17 with 'mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit assembly', which is safe to propagate.

@srengel could you update the SGD annotation from mitochondrial translation to mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit assembly for SGD:S000004703, MTG1. Glancing at the abstract of the paper curated for this, this looks consistent with the conclusions.
