I have minecraft 1.17.1 and just fabric 0.7.4 with fabric-api-0.37.1+1.17.jar and easiervillagertrading-1.17.1-fabric0.36.1-1.5.4.jar loaded (ok I have modmenu-2.0.4.jar too - but these are the only mods and modmenu is unlikely an issue). With this, I can get into a pumpkin trade with a farmer. With a shift click, the trade is only executed once before the trade gets a red X on it. If you exit the trading screen and immediately go back, the red X is gone and you can make further trades. With 1.16.5, the trade would be executed the maximum number of time possible before the red X would appear. If I do a control/shift click trade, I can eventually force the trade to be executed the maximum number of times - but with a lot more clicking!

The keybinds are a bit off on my end too, to the point that I thought it's not working! Apparantly on my macOS box:

  • click, shift, alt-click all map to the vanilla click (prepare)
  • L ctrl-click is the mod shift-click (trade all)
  • no idea what "trade one" is

On the Windows box nothing works -- it's all vanilla.

Hey there...apparently this was a server side issue caused either by some sort of anti-cheat OR whatever mod they use to allow different version clients to connect. The server I play on often, Empire Minecraft upgraded to 1.17 and the issue has, thankfully, disappeared! Please feel free to close this report!
