Looks like there is some type of an issue with the RSS images when using the IE feed reading mode.
According to this discussion, it looks like this has happened before: http://groups.google.com/group/funnelweblog/browse_thread/thread/c01fcc7f278f7901/81e0fbb32140a4c2

I am running the latest version from the Release channel and am able to reproduce this issue.
