How can we make this more accessible?

We can't just announce the selected player color. If you can't see the player colors in the first place, announcing the selected color doesn't help.

Possibly something like:

When a player puts their finger on the screen: announce something like "Player X added" (with X being a number)
When a player is selected, announce "Player X chosen"

I feel like the aria live region works okay on desktop with a mouse. But pointer events don't seem to play well with TalkBack on Android.
