Currently when you measure, Mayo will take the shortest path and displays the X, Y and Z coordinates. This is good enough when you are measuring in those directions, but when there is an angle involved it got messy really quick.
It would be nice if you can measure perpendicular to a plane or surface. So the first selection is a plane and the next selection can be a point, line, plane or surface. Mayo will then calculate the dimension perpendicular to the selection if possible.

I would like something like this example from Solidworks.
One view where you could see x/y/z distance and the direct distance.
In this above mentioned case it would means that the selected plane set x/y/z (x/y the plane and perpendicular z)
and the click point the point for the distance.
so you get e.g. Perpendicular distance z= 20 , point Distance = 27
