Lots of people use ZSH nowadays and this statement:
"git config remote.origin.push refs/heads/:refs/for/"

doesnt work in Zsh, bash apparently works differently for globbing dir paths. In order to get it to work you need either

"git config remote.origin.push 'refs/heads/:refs/for/' "
or
"git config remote.origin.push refs/heads/:refs/for/"

see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15892624/how-to-config-gerrit-refs-in-zsh

this took me awhile to figure out!
