Select by color

Hello,
a cool feature would be able to select lines by color e.g. the selected color. This would enable a person to make a rough drawing and then just select that when a new drawing is done over it.

To me, a more proper solution would be to implement multiple layers instead (show/hide layers, change order, select only elements from the layers...)
