Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I have a smart plug, and I would like the color of the entity to change based on wether the plug is on or off.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to be able to use templates when using the color option.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I've tried using card-mod, but it doesn't change the color. Also, when using a template, the color goes to white.
