Currently, a package installation of the library fetches a copy of the TypeScript compiler, which increases the final "install size" by 60 MB, whereas the actual dist directory is ~100 KB.

Setup the library to compile and publish, either to npm, or another branch/tag?
I don't really want to publish to npm though, for personal reasons
