Hello,

just writing to confirm the install does indeed work on HP 14 version with Acer profile. I did it few days ago and the system is stable and working. Upon installing my trackpad didn't work and i had to fix languages/keyboards inside Ubuntu by updating it.

^ Unfortunately Step #5 no longer seems to work for Intel Chromebook 14. It throws compilation errors. Tested in Linux Kernel 3.16.0-28-generic Ubuntu 14.10

Never mind, the solution is simply to update to Linux Kernel 3.17
