Which Linux distro is supported ? #595

Hi everyone, I'm currently "using" MX Linux. and when I tried to install python3-opensnitch-ui_1.4.2-1_all.deb I got
It seem that MX Linux repo have a package for MX
But it's based on an older version version of opensnitch :/ Is there a way to install the lastest version of opensnitch (on MX or other) that will install all the necessary decency ? like an apt --install ? or better a .deb file including all the dependency ? (not sure that it exist :) Thanks. |

@BobSquarePants I have addressed your thread on the MX forums, I will work on getting OpenSnitch updated in our Repos when I can squeeze in the time. I played cat and mouse with it for a bit until I decided I would put it on hold to keep up with other packages. It is not really the responsibility of OpenSnitch developers to do what you are asking. Obviously the OpenSnitch team puts a lot of time and energy into ensuring as many users from different Distros can use it, but ultimately the packaging is up to the Distro package maintainers. |

It is not really the responsibility of OpenSnitch developers to do what you are asking.
It is their responsibility to ensure they have a clean release tarball, properly use a standard build system and techniques, provide good release notes and build info like dependency versions. Those sorts of things.
