I can do everything with UCR but when I click to enter binding mode, it doesnt detect any buttons being pressed, it makes noise whenever i press a button or click on something but nothing will happen. its still responsive and the program doesnt stop working, but, binding mode wont turn off and it wont let me enter any key bindings

This is a late response for an almost year old post, but for the sake of future googlers I had a similar issue and this was my workaround:

  • When you open UCR, make sure nothing is bound and that the window is empty.

  • Next, you're going to want to first bind the buttons. So, Select Plugin Selection > Remapper (Button to Button).

  • Click Add, and name it whatever you want.

  • Click Select an Input Button, BUT before you click on Select Binding, press and hold down the key on the keyboard you want to bind; for example, 'A'.

  • As you are holding down the key, use the mouse to click on Select Binding. The red binding window will come up, and when it does release the key.

  • When you release the key, it should be bound as input.

  • Then, select the Output Button as usual.

  • Repeat this process for all button-to-button mapping first, before going on to Axis-to-Axis binding.
