Preparing to submit

Kath Sherratt edited this page Mar 25, 2021 · 18 revisions

Forecasts can be submitted at most once per week, at any time between Thursday and Monday (23:59 GMT).

We rely on Github to store and interact with forecasts. To submit a forecast, you will need a free Github account. In broad terms, the steps are to fork a repository and, in case you want to keep your fork synchronized with the main repository, configure a remote and sync your fork; and then to create a pull request with your forecasts.

These steps are explained in more detail in the instructions for submitting via the website or command line. The very first steps are to

  1. fork this repository (called epiforecasts/covid19-forecast-hub-europe) using the Fork button at the top right and
  2. create a new sub-directory for your team.

If you have any questions about any step in this process or would prefer to get in touch before making your first submission, just get in touch via email, the contact form, or by opening a GitHub Issue on this repository.
