Preparing to submit

Kath Sherratt edited this page Apr 26, 2021 · 18 revisions

Forecasts can be submitted at most once per week, at any time between Thursday and Monday (23:59 GMT).

We rely on Github to store and interact with forecasts. To submit a forecast, you will need a free Github account.

Broadly, the steps to submit are:

  1. Fork this repository (called epiforecasts/covid19-forecast-hub-europe)
    • Use the Fork button at the top right
    • (optional) In case you want to keep your fork synchronized with the main repository, configure a remote and sync your fork
  2. Create a new sub-directory for your team
  3. Submit forecasts by creating a pull request

These steps are explained in more detail in the instructions for submitting via the website or command line. If you are working on your first Github pull request, there are also some helpful beginner guides to Github.

If you have any questions about any step in this process or would like to get in touch before making your first submission, please contact us.
