Update: change repo name to eur-synclab.github.io which will automatically generate the github pages website

Above suggestion is only possible with a Jekyll or github pages website, let's find out if mkdocs also allows something like this...

Note: the website is still published from the gh-pages branch, not directly from master as above comment suggests.
