I can not sign in at https://esgf-metagrid.cloud.dkrz.de/search, neither in Safari nor in Chrome. Clicking the "Sign In" buttom gives me zero reaction. As if there is no link behind the visible button in the html.

It seems that this prohibits me from downloading data. I am just used to the old ESGF UI and trying out the new one. I need MPI-GE data.

I could sign in at https://aims2.llnl.gov/search with the same setup and browser. However, the data I need is not available there.

I can download the wget file from my cart selection at https://esgf-metagrid.cloud.dkrz.de but if I want to execute it, I am asked for my OpenID and password, which seem to be obsolete at this point?!

As such, signing in at DKRZ be would fantastic.

@martin-wegmann Thanks for reporting, @soay is my contact at DKRZ, I'll forward the issue to her if this tag doesn't work... Use wget -s to bypass the openID prompt.

i got the same problem. and its december now. how is it possible that something so huge is still not fixed in december. @sashakames so i can download the data with wget -s ? this will work?

how do i execute it since i have to use "./file.sh" to download the wget file. than it asks me for openid.

@skremdwd Hi, thanks for your comment. I can't log in to this site “https://esgf-metagrid.cloud.dkrz.de/search”. So it doesn't matter which datasets I want to download, because as soon as I try to download the wget script via the terminal, I get the message to enter my OPENID/password.

Less than a year ago, I downloaded my datasets here: https://esgf.dwd.de/projects/esgf-dwd/
That all worked, but it no longer works. And the files I need are only available there. And downloading them via http (browser) is impossible. I would be busy with that for months.

The issue (not really an issue as we already migrated to the new system) is that the old OpenID login is completely shutdown for our node as it was relying on the DKRZ OpenID server which is also shut down since a few months.
