If you're interested in participating in a study of this tool, please fill out this form
We’re looking for experienced Processing users to use our tool for 2-4 weeks in their everyday creative coding practice. After a short intro Zoom call to get you up and running, you’ll just use the version control tool whenever it feels helpful in your normal creative coding practice. With a short check-in in the middle to see how things are going, we’ll chat at the end of your trial period about what you made with the tool, your creative process, and how tools like this could best fit your needs. You’ll be compensated for your interview time at a rate of $40/hour, so you should expect to be compensated between $80-$120 if you participate through the entire study.
By studying real artists using our tool in their everyday creative practice, we hope to learn something about how to make version control tools better support creative practitioners while also preparing this tool for free and open-source release as an add-on to the Processing environment.
Beyond the monetary compensation, we are hopeful that this tool will be a valuable part of the Processing environment for artists, educators, and students, and participating in this study would help us make a tool that best serves the needs of the community.
