Feature request: Recognize Markdown text and render

Not a problem. It will help with Relay's chatbots, which routinely return Markdown text and code blocks in response to user questions.

From my initial exploration of solutions, this popular package could be the solution for xmtp.chat https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-markdown

Describe the uses cases for the feature

Rich text has become the norm in messaging apps, and dev articles/blogs/readmes all display Markdown text.

Especially for Relay, the bots return Markdown text and code blocks such as

code block 

which is helpful for developers to learn from.

after more discussion, we've determined that this is not a current priority. however, we are open to external contributions to add this feature.
