Yewtube is Youtube

A Firefox extension that adds a right-click menu button to open YouTube links in YewTube - say no to tracking and ads!

With version 1.0, you can now choose to use your favourite Invidious instance in the options menu. (Don't forget to check out the dark mode!)

Installing through Firefox Browser Addons

Installing the extension through Firefox's official addon market is easy, just follow this link.

Installing as temporary extension

To install the extension as a temporary extension in Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox and load the about:debugging page. Click Load Temporary Add-on and select the manifest.json file within the folder of an example extension. Here is a video that demonstrates how to do this.

Note that extensions do not work in private browsing windows by default, see Extensions in Private Browsing for details.
