I'm willing to contribute this feature. As far as I can tell, I can start from copying nrf-softdevice's security handler, and embedded-storage trait can be used for storing bond info. Any other suggestions here?

I think that's a good start. There are also an existing implementation in bleps:

Quick update

There's a WIP PR at #194

The author has expressed on Discord that he has a lot of other things going on right now. As such, I'll try to take it over and getting it into a working state during the Christmas holidays 😊
