1 out of my 3 iCamera-1000 did not have the 'hidden' 720p resolution. Figured that the firmware versions were different, so I saved the firmware successfully from a camera, and tried to upload to the one missing the 720p resolution. Interestingly, upload did not go through, and the GUI sent 'Unknown Error' message.
After more digging I found this blog entry with firmware file links pointing to Comcast site: http://itbyfire.blogspot.com/?_sm_au_=i0HQR65QVMj3DT2H
1002R22.bin downloaded from Comcast worked perfectly well for the third camera, and added the HD resolution. Still wondering why the firmware transfer did not work across the cameras.
For the RC8230 I have V1.0.03 firmware version that displays the followings:
mpeg4_resolution=640
mjpeg_resolution=640
h264_resolution=640
resolutions=1280x720,640480,320240,160*120
While the configuration shows 1280x720 as a possibility, the API comes back with 'Invalid Resolution' when resolution=4 is used.
I am pretty sure that 720p is possible with a firmware upgrade to V1.0.15 as that's what the Sercomm-API document shows. Wondering if there's a place out there to download this version from.
