Option to extract a predefined number of chips with extract_chips

It may be useful to add an option to the extract_chips function to predefine a limited number of chips to be extracted from an image, as a parameter. This may be specially useful to test codes that include the extract_chips function without doing a full (and probably time-consuming) run or having to interrupt it manually.
